Elijah and Momma's Early Weekend Fun

Today was an early weekend day for Elijah and Mommy :)

Here's how we spent it...

We started off just haning around the house...

Then we got ready and did some dancing.
See me putting the music on?

In the car, I was super excited about wearing my boots...

Our first stop was to Lake Eola where we were going to feed the ducks...

I really just teased the ducks. I would hold the bread like this, but wouldn't throw it...

I was really interested in watching the little girl down the way...

Then I thought I'd taste test the bread...

Okay! I'm going to throw it this time...

Ha! Nope, just kidding again...

Then I got brave and went down in the grass with all the birds...

Mom got a little freaked out and made me go back in my stroller.
I finally started throwing the bread to the birds...

Then we went home where I watched Fresh Beat Band
and wore Momma's shoes...

And her sunglasses...

Then we were off again.

We went to the park and I was very happy...

I collected my treasures (mulch, acorns and leaves)...

And played in the clay at the baseball field...

I was super excited about the clay!...

Looking all the cool things I did with my feet...

Then I drank from a juice box...

Mom thought it was super cute
so she took a million pictures...

Then I saw an airplane...

And I drank some more from my juice box...

Thought I was big stuff standing on the base...

And that's how we spent our day :)

Happy (Belated) Valentine's Day!

Hope everyone had a great V-Day! We did :)
Nothing crazy; just really nice family time.
My Valentines

***UPDATE*** Elijah had his 15 month checkup and shots this week.
He's up to 24.5 lbs now. Doctor Cowan looked at his head and said it's healing wonderfully :)
Thanks for all the love and prayers for our little boy (and Adam and I as I think we were more traumatized by the incident!)
I had today off (hallelujah!) so Elijah and I got to spend extra time together.
Who wouldn't love that?
Took him to get his haircut.
Poor kid grows a mullet 4 weeks after each haircut
(only the back grows, not the front!);
went and had lunch with Adam
(Elijah was super excited to find out that Daddy and his work friends have lots of toys to play with. Possibly even more that we have at home :);
and went to the park, where Elijah fell in love.
Cute little dark haired girl named Hope.
Once he spotted her he was in awe. He was following her around the playground.
Then she picked up a football and it was over. He couldn't keep his eyes off her.
I could see the cartoon hearts just floating from his head.
In honor of Valentine's, I thought I'd share some recent things I love about my love-E
(because, you know, I NEVER gush!)

-Love how he "tickles" (especially feet).
I put tickles in quotations because really, it hurts like heck!
He scratches with those razors for nails he has.
I can't ever tell him no though,
he enjoys it too much.

-Love how much he loves basketball.
We went for a walk this weekend and the kid pointed out every single house that had a basketball net. Then got really mad because I wouldn't let him run up and touch every one of them.
He has the same love for footballs, however we don't have any neighbors with football fields in their front yard.

-Love how he actually makes kissy noises now when he blows kisses.
He used to just make a "muah" sound, but now smacks his lips together.

-Love that he's learning to say "please" and "thank you".
As of now the words he says sound nothing like their suppose to,
but he's trying.
-Love the most: Elijah's fish face.
He's really into copying sounds and faces lately.
Adam and I were making fish faces at him and this what we got back:

Is that not the CUTEST thing you've ever seen??

Elijah's First ER visit... (and cute pics to make the blog sunnier)

Last night marked a big first in little E's life...
His first ER trip.
I seriously doubt this will be the last.
He was playing and fell. Hit his head on the edge of a bookshelf. He cried but was over it way before I was. Now, I admit I am overly cautious (he is my first so I'm new at this); but he's bumped and bruised his head plenty of times and we just ice it and walk it off. But when I see blood gushing from his head, that screams emergency to me.
Ok.. so maybe it wasn't gushing.
But still.
Bleeding.
Anyway. Took him to the ER and 2 1/2 hrs and $200 later, there was nothing to worry about. No staples, no stitches, and no CT scan.
Praise God.
He was such a trooper. Laughed and played with all the nurses and for the most part, stayed pretty entertained in the hospital room for 2 hours.
In way cuter Elijah news...
E loves, loves, loves to stack things.
He loves to stack things more when he is able to climb to the top of them.
These are pictures of him playing with his stacking blocks.
Please note that he is forever trying to stack things that we know won't work. Things like a book on top of a ball. So he really surprised himself when these blocks stayed put when he stacked them (I would hope they would as "stacking" is in their name).
As you can see he was very happy.

That is until they fell.
