Who loves Saturdays?

We do!
Especially when they're spent celebrating a birthday and visiting Nana's house.
We had such a blast at Aiden's birthday party at the park.
HARD to believe he's already two!

Elijah LOVED the slide!
This is just one of the 50+ pics of him going down.

Aiden's Uncle Mark brought all the kids (of all ages) bubble wands.
Oh boy were they fun!

This was the closest we could get of a picture of the boys together.

At Nana's we took a dip in the hot tub.
Or what Elijah called "bath" :)

We really enjoyed our time with friends and family.
It made me realize how big Elijah and his friend are getting and how fast the time is going.
I see everyday how Elijah is maturing.
Always learning new things, understanding more and physically growing...
There are just some days though where I look at him and it seems like he grew before my eyes.
This weekend was one of those times.

NC Trip

Last weekend Elijah and I went to North Carolina to spend some time with my mom for her birthday.
It was Elijah's first plane ride.
He did really well on the way there.
As we were landing, I sat him in my lap so we could look out the window.
We're sitting there watching when his binky falls into my hand.
I look down at him and he's sleeping!
Same thing happened on the way home.
No sleeping during the flight.. only landing.
This made it really fun for me.
Gathering all of our crap, stuffing it into the bags, getting the bag down from overhead storage, waiting for the stroller, popping it up, loading all the luggage and toys and food and etc, walking through the airport with a sleeping child on my chest pushing an overloaded stroller with one hand.
Memories.
:)
I must say, people are pretty nice to a woman traveling alone with a toddler.
Big thanks to all my fellow travelers and airline workers who helped me out.
From the second we got there it was a weekend full of fun.
My mother has the absolute sweetest neighbors who treated Elijah and I like family.
They were very excited to have him play on their piano.
E was a little excited himself :)
We went to the Charlotte Speedway.
This is the BIG thing in town...
Well, kinda the only big thing in town.
Elijah loved the cars (on display, we didn't see any races).
We also went to the Ashboro zoo.
So much fun!
Mom taught Elijah how to water flowers.
And we walked and walked and walked the neighborhood picking flowers.
We had such a sweet visit and miss Grandma already :)
Happy Birthday Mom

Bubbles

Elijah learned how to blow bubbles this week.
It was, without a doubt, one of my favorite moments of the past 17 months.

Easter Weekend

Talk about some Easter fun...
Elijah and I started the weekend with a trip to Sea World where we watched the dolphin show.
E was so excited to see the "ish"!
Elijah's "ish" face at the Dolphin show.

Easter morning he was so pleased with his new Mater car.
It was his very favorite until...
He discovered there were M&Ms in the plastic eggs.

"Opali!"
(Open it Please)

After baskets and breakfast we went to church.
Elijah has just recently started to go to Children's Church without me.
He was ready a while ago... I wasn't.
It was worth being without him when he came out with his first Children's Church project.
I don't think he actually had any part in making it...
but I was still so proud.
Here's our annual Easter pic with our girls :)
After church and nap we had an always delicious meal at Mawmaw's.
Oh... and Elijah ran around with a bucket on his head.
Oh man do I love this kid
:)
