18 Month Photos Pt 2

Elijah is in love with his Daisy girl :)

18 Month Family Photos Pt 1

It's that time again...
Our lovely friend Shelbie came over and took 18 month
Family Photos.

As usual they were all fabulous.
I had an especially hard time narrowing them down
for posting this time.
Just seeing how fast our little one is growing,
I want to soak in all I can.

Circus!

Last weekend we went to Brooksville to see GG and go to the circus.
Uncle Dave, Uncle Ron and cousin Shawn were all there.
Elijah had a great time!

He saw elephants, llamas, goats.
He loved all the people in the show.
Most of all, he loved spending time with his GG :)

Thanks for a great time Grandma!
We love you!

Dear Elijah...

To my Love-E,

I wonder if you have any idea how much you mean to me.
I don't think you can even comprehend it yet.
You know how much you love CARS?...
Well, take that times a billion.

I'm not sure who keeps giving you permission to grow up.
I don't allow it.
Ok...
I do.
It is pretty awesome to watch you grow.
It's just happening a little too fast.

We joke that soon you'll be taking the car from us,
but I don't think it's such a joke anymore.
As soon as I unbuckle your car seat straps you try to climb into the front seat.
You threw such a fit the other night we had to close the front door
and the curtains so you couldn't see the car.

You really are incredible.
You make me laugh, cry, smile.
Every single day.

You have been so great the past couple days
while both your parents have been sick.
You've brought much needed laughter that instantly brightens the house.

You are hilarious.
And you know it.

Your concentration amazes me.
Whether you stacking cars or trying to put on your own pants.
I am so joyful watching you give something all your might.

Getting you to go to sleep has always been a challenge of mine.
Not for your Dad.
I can rock you for hours and no sleep.
You get in your Dad's arm and 3 seconds later...
ZZZZZZZZ.
We changed your bedtime routine a couple weeks ago
(due to you climbing out of the crib)
and I am overwhelmed by how wonderful it is.
You fall asleep every night while I read to you.
I look forward to it every day.

Thank you for being so great,
so funny,
so perfectly you.

Here are some cute pics from the past few days...

The various faces you make while watching cars.

You and me, Mother's Day.

You're new favorite spot in the house.

Happy (belated) Mother's Day and other updates

Hope Mother's Day was wonderful for all the families out there.
Sorry this wish is late.
It's been a bit crazed in the Teston house.
Our Mother's Day was fantastic.
Went to church, brunch at the County Club, and over to Nana's for swimming.
Every bit of it was perfect :)
Then Monday happened...
it was, you know, Monday.
Tuesday our poor little E woke up with,
hmm..
let's call it a not so pleasant present.
He was acting normal and ate breakfast fine so I thought it might be something he ate.
Then on the way to drop him off at Shelbie's
(a whopping 4 blocks away)
he threw up in the car.
And back home we went.
Wednesday he seemed to be doing ok.
Wednesday night/Thursday morning,
I woke up sick and threw up for 10 hours.
Thursday afternoon
Adam came home to check on me at lunch and had caught the bug.
4 o'clock, Elijah comes home. Shelbie caught it too.
THANK GOD for my mother-in-law.
She came right down and helped us out with our little one.
(thank you, thank you, thank you).
Friday
I can barely breath I am so sore. Adam is still recouping as well.
And here we are Friday night/Saturday.
I am feeling sore, but better :)
And can't sleep.
