And the award for worst weekly blogger
and photo-a-day keeper upper goes to...
me.
I keep thinking that if I don't blog for a while,
I'll come back and it'll be,
"Wow! Where has the time gone? Time for Reese to be born."
But not so much.
Here we are, almost 35 weeks,
and although it's been nearly THREE WEEKS
since my last post,
it seems like no time has gone by.
Waiting for a baby is hard work.
In baby sister news...
I went to the Dr last week and Reese was measuring 32 weeks,
only 2 weeks small.
Given the track she was on,
(measure 1 week small, then 2, then 2 1/2)
I was super thrilled that she had grown a bit.
Now would be the time the doc would have me start coming in every week,
but since we're having a scheduled c-section I get to resume
my 2 week schedule.
I'm liking this.
I have been staying very busy making stuff for Reese.
The past week I made her nearly a dozen burp rags
(plus two baby shower gifts)
and finished her butterfly mobile.
Pics are to come
(I've actually taken some, just haven't uploaded).
Still working on her blanket and I bought the fabric for her curtains
but haven't even started with those.
We're going to start putting her room together this weekend
(after my baby shower Saturday!)
Speaking of,
just want to give a HUGE thank you in advance
to my sweet, sweet friends Jen and Shelbie for my shower.
Shelbie and I have thrown showers for each other for each of our babes
(4 total now),
& for some pregnancy hormone induced reason,
I get a bit sentimental about that.
Jen and I threw Shelbie's shower together in September,
and she is one of the most genius, creative people ever.
Ever.
Add to that her insanely warm and fun personality
and it makes her a friend-favorite.
I'm telling you,
you don't want to have a party without these girls.
And onto my favorite little man updates:
Elijah is...
Elijah.
He cracks me up every day.
I mean, we're talking bust out laughing moments.
Daily.
Shelbie and m&m came over today
and it was so good to have someone else there during
one of E's "moments".
Now, she's experienced lots of these "moments" herself with him
(and her hilarious wild child of her own).
Today she brought me over a sesame seed bagel,
and although I knew he wouldn't like it,
Elijah wanted a bite.
He instantly sticks his tongue out and tries to spit it all off his tongue.
He concludes by saying,
"Mmm. Taste good."
Sure. That's what we all do when something taste good.
He did start coming down with a cold last week,
but thankfully we got to the Dr before it really came on
so he was able to get on antibiotics before
the ear infection (which the Dr said was starting).
Whew.
Love, love, love when we can save E from an EI.
Otherwise, Elijah is pretty much doing the same.
Each day is spent:
Saying/doing something hilarious
Learning everything about everything that he can
Singing, dancing, running, playing
He is absolutely wonderful.
He's started singing his ABC's,
but he really only sings the end
so it usually goes,
"R, S, T, W, X, Y, Z,
R, S, T, W, X, Y, Z"
and then he eventually adds some 2 year old phrase of
"Now I know ABCs, next time sing with me".
It's great.
(and yes, I know he's also missing U & V.
I promise we include those letters when we sing it!)
Well, I suppose I've rambled on enough.
Time for my PADs
(what I have of them anyway!)
