24 weeks - It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas

This week has been
Ahhh-mazing :)
Cold weather, Christmas trees, homemade cookies...

First of all...
ADAM IS DONE!
Absolutely, 100%,
every project, test and paper is complete.
One week from tomorrow he will walk across the stage
and I will try my very best not to melt into a puddle of
proud tears.

Elijah is doing much better
(thank you antibiotics!)
We've been enjoying the cold weather
(although I've now come down with a cold
so we still spend most time indoors,
watching Christmas movies :)
We are currently obsessed with watching
Spongebob's Mystery with a Twistery (ep takes place on a train)
Mickey's Choo Choo Express
and Mickey Saves Santa.
We moved the TV a couple weeks ago and the other day I came out and found him watching Spongebob like this:

Last weekend we went and got our Christmas tree!
Elijah loved being at the Christmas tree lot
and explored the mazes in between all the trees.

We picked out the perfect tree for us :)
Not very big, but with lots of character.

On the way home,
Adam had us listening to who knows what kind of music
but E LOVED it.
He got this look on his face and just danced right along.

Elijah's favorite Christmas lights
are the colored ones around the garage.
When we came home from getting the tree
he decided to try and "blow" the lights out.
:)

He has been very involved in all things Christmas tree
including watering...

and decorating.
Only problem with letting a two year old decorate,
all the ornaments end up in one spot.

We have a "character" tree this year.
All the ornaments are some sort of character:
Disney, animals, super heroes, etc.
These ornament are the most durable
and since our tree is located in the room
that E spends the majority of his time,
I thought I'd save myself the heartache
of any of the breakables in an accident.
I am aware that my child is only two
and I fully expect him to touch the ornaments
(even though he's been told a million times not to).
I'd only have myself to blame if something happened.
But I am happy with our kid-themed tree
and Elijah and I play lots of
"look and find" games with it
where I have him search for specific ornaments.

On Saturday we took Elijah to Light Up UCF.
We had a really good time riding the "yee-haws"
(merry-go-round)
watching Veggie Tales It's a Meaningful Life
and eating chocolate chip cookies.

As for little sister news...
went to the dr today and heard her heartbeat.
It was lovely :)
She's doing great, strong heart beat, moving all the time.
I finally started taking "belly shots".
I'm carrying a lot different than with Elijah
and smaller too I think.
Below is a pic of me with E and now me with #2
(both at 24 weeks).

At this point with E I had gained 17 lbs,
with little sister, 5.
Big difference, although I'm not sure how considering
the large quantities of choc chip cookies I've eaten lately :)
I am NOT complaining and
am very much enjoying not being as big as I was before!
(Also enjoying the fact that I can still wear my regular jeans!)

Lastly, Adam has decided on a name!
BUT,
you'll have to wait a few more weeks to find out.
:)
