Little Sister has a Name: Reese Margaret

We have officially decided on a name
for our new addition:
Reese Margaret Teston

Reese: Enthusiastic, Ardent
Margaret: Pearl

What a time it has been!
We were prepared for a boy - had the name picked and everything.
We never thought we'd have a girl so we didn't spend a whole lot of thought
on girl names.
Oops.

We found Reese in a baby book and loved it.
I had looked at bazillions of websites for names
and was lost.
There are SO MANY out there.
Although the sites try to be helpful,
they all left me feeling overwhelmed.
After we found out we were having a girl
I borrowed a baby name book from a friend,
"Name That Baby".
It was a miracle book!
After much praying and perusing through,
we came up with a list of names we both liked.
After more praying (and me patiently waiting)
Adam selected Reese.
I love it.
:)

As for Margaret,
we know that we want each our kids to have a family name.
Elijah's middle name, Bradford, is also Adam and his dad's middle names.
We  had been gathering family names for girls
since we found out we were pregnant
and Margaret was always at the top of the list.
Margaret was my great-grandmother's name.
It wasn't until Elijah's birthday party this year that I found out
my GG was named after her mom (Margaret was her middle name)
and GG also passed it along to her daughter,
my grandmother,
Mary Ann Margaret.

So our daughter is being named after a long line
of her ancestors.
Although I never met my great-great grandmother,
and have very few memories of my GG,
my grandmother is one of the most important people to me.
She is not your typical grandmother type.
You're most likely to find her
out kayaking down a river,
participating in a charity event
or helping someone find their dream home.
She is by far one of the most genuine,
generous and hilarious people I know.
It's impossible to meet her and not love her.

Growing up, she has always been my encourager.
She taught me that anything is possible.
Follow your dreams.
Love, laugh and be happy.
Always forgive.
I pray that these are some of the many great qualities
that our little Reese Margaret
will inherit from her GG.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart
